Lenovo appoints Officeworks, Synnex scores distie deal

Lenovo has signed Officeworks as its third consumer retail partner in Australia, joining JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman, which became Lenovo resellers last year.

Officeworks already sells a handful of Lenovo devices, including the Yoga 3 convertible laptop, Yoga 2 tablet, Z50-70 and G40-30 laptops and the H30-00 desktop PC

Lenovo consumer director Brendan Lau said only that “a selected range of Lenovo consumer notebooks, desktops and tablets will be available through Officeworks with the potential to add on new products in the future".

The wider range of Lenovo devices are expected to be available at Officework’s 154 Australian locations and online stores over the next week. Lenovo will be distributed to Officeworks by Synnex Australia.

Officeworks already sells notebooks, tablets and desktop PCs from Apple, HP, Acer, Asus, Samsung and Toshiba.

A Yoga 2 tablet is priced at $399 from Officeworks, $384 from Harvey Norman and $348 from JB Hi-fi. A Yoga 3 laptop is priced at $1229 at Officeworks and Harvey Norman and $1297 from JB Hi-fi.

The Z50-70 is priced at $1199 from Officeworks and $998 from JB Hi-Fi. Officeworks is the only retail partner to list the H30-00 PC at $499.
