LeetGeek straps in for big 2013

Adelaide reseller LeetGeek is expanding its team in preparation for a surge in new business this year, welcoming a newly-created general manager role alongside several new engineers.

The 2012 CRN Fast50 winner brought on former Logitech and HP/Compaq staffer Todd Bussenschutt as its new GM as part of an active drive for new contracts, after a year which saw a lot of ‘lucky’ growth.

“All of our growth has been quite passive, it’s been referral-based,” LeetGeek director Ben Corbett said. “We’ve been focused on internal policies and procedures and looking more inward, and the growth has come naturally. Now it’s going to be about pursuing new clients and being more active in growth.”

LeetGeek will also welcome a handful of new engineers in the next few months, growing the current staff count from 15.

LeetGeek has taken on an additional suite in its Adelaide headquarters in order to expand its Apple services department. The systems integrator targets the education, retail and construction verticals, and was able to take hold of a gap in the Adelaide market when technology buyers expressed dissatisfaction with Apple reseller Next Byte, transforming itself into an education specialist.

It also works with vendors such as Microsoft, Apple, Cisco, VMware and Sophos, but the company describes itself as "vendor-agnostic".

The service provider was named the CRN Fast50 winner for 2012 after tripling its revenue for 2012 to $3.4 million in just 12 months, just five years after first opening for business.
