Leading Edge Group (LEG) has appointed Charlie Davey, formerly of Winc ANZ, to lead its re-organised category team.
Davey commences his new role as head of category on 26 November, when he will replace Lee Scott.
“We are thrilled to have Charlie on board,” Leading Edge chief executive Struan Abernethy said.
“In addition to his fantastic experience, Charlie brings his positive and can-do attitude to LEG, and will be a great fit in helping guide LEG through this exciting period of growth.”
Last month, the Sydney-headquartered buying group reorganised its operating model, streamlining the category team’s workload and introduced new specialised teams to bring in additional services for members and supply partners.
The category team now focuses on Leading Edge’s core responsibilities, moving marketing, customer service, member recruitment, operations and conferences to the newly created retail services team.

Prior to joining to Leading Edge, Davey was a consultant with Winc ANZ, and also worked in various managerial roles with Camera House, Optus and Big W, after starting his career in the United Kingdom.
