Online reseller Kogan is launching its first own-branded laptop targeted to gamers for $999.
The Atlas Pro comes with a 15.6-inch 1920x1080 screen, a 1TB hard drive and Windows 10 pre-installed. It’s powered by an Intel 3.5GHz i7 processor, 8GB RAM and an NVidia GeForce 940M graphics card.
The device is available for pre-order now on Kogan’s website and begins shipping on 6 November.
Founder Ruslan Kogan said the new device would fill a gap in the market for high-performance laptops on a budget.
“Whether you are a serious gamer, designer, creative professional, architect, engineer, or any user who needs high end, we encourage people to do their research and shop around," said Kogan. "We’re confident that pound-for-pound, you won’t find anything that comes close to the Kogan Atlas Pro."
The new notebook joins the list of Kogan’s budget hardware revealed in the last 12 months. The Australian company released its $349 budget Windows laptop, Atlas X14FHD, in May.
Kogan has also ramped up its presence in the mobile space, announcing this week it was re-entering the telco market with Vodafone to bring back Kogan Mobile. The company also revealed its $299 Android smartphone, Agora 4G Pro, in July.
