The speakers are: internationally recognised author, speaker and systems administrator, Tom Limoncelli; co-founder of Wikia and Chair of the Wikimedia Foundation Advisory Board, Angela Beesely; and Chief Open Source Officer at Sun Microsystems, Simon Phipps.
“We expect this mix of keynotes will be the perfect entree into each day of the conference,” said LCA09 organiser, Ben Powell.
“We chose keynotes who will have wide appeal to all attending, and we expect delegates will leave these sessions feeling inspired.”
Linux.conf.au, the National Linux Conference, will be held from January 19 to 24 in Hobart at the University of Tasmania.
The keynote speakers will be presenting the opening talks on each day of the main conference, before delegates disperse to attend a diverse selection of presentations
"We hoped to set the tone of the conference by our keynotes, and with our keynote line-up now finalised, we feel we've achieved that goal,” Powell said. “We are delighted to have Tom, Angela, and Simon involved.”
