Juniper's Australian channel boss defects to FireEye
Lani Edwards

Network security vendor FireEye has hired Lani Edwards out of Juniper Networks as its channel boss for ANZ.

Edwards joined Juniper in 2009 and was appointed head of channels in May 2014. Prior to that, she was product manager at Avnet and product specialist at InTechnology in the UK.

She will now be responsible for leading FireEye’s channel strategy, as well as managing distributor and reseller relations.

FireEye also hired Sean Kopelke as its director of global alliances and managed security service providers for Asia Pacific and Japan.

Kopelke comes from Symantec, which he joined in 2005 as sales manager for product specialists after it acquired Veritas. His most recent role was senior director for Symantec’s technical sales organisation.

FireEye vice president for global solutions providers APJ Scott McCrady said the new hires would be valuable assets to FireEye’s Asia Pacific team, saying “To expand our reach and help even more organisations defend themselves, we are fostering a strong industry ecosystem across the region. Sean and Lani are valuable assets in this effort.”

Juniper Networks reported a $970 million loss in Q4 2014.
