Jason Ha has joined Sydney-based security startup MyCISO in the role of chief information security officer.

He joins from Ethan, where he served as CISO since August 2022.

Prior to this, he worked at PwC Australia as director, as well as at Dimension Data in a number of security-focused roles in a decade-long tenure at the company.

In a post on LinkedIn, Ha thanked the leadership team at Ethan and Ethan Indigenous for providing him with the opportunity to uplift the internal security posture for Ethan as well as execute a number of social outcome initiatives to support indigenous youth.

"I also thoroughly enjoyed working with the broader team across all areas of the business - from vendor management, sales, presales, customer success, professional services, managed services, the indigenous team and of course the cyber team!" he said.

"Thank you to Dane Meah and the leadership team at MyCISO for entrusting me with this important role and being the ultimate role model of using our own award winning platform to not just simplify cybersecurity management, but provide clarity on the "how" and "what first" for managing cyber risk effectively."

Ha also said that due to his "passion and focus on driving supply chain cyber resilience in the SMB sector", he has taken on an 'honorary role' at CyberCert as head of cyber partnerships APAC, where he will aim to drive ecosystem engagement and enablement.

"The most awesome thing is being able to wear both hats to drive improvements to cyber resiliency for both SMBs directly but also to organisations who have SMBs in their supply chain to build and operationalise a frictionless approach for managing Supply Chain Risk," he said.

In October, MyCISO added Craig McGregor, Diluka Senarath and Ali Hammoud to the team.
