Island has launched Island Enterprise Vibe Publishing, a product designed to let organisations safely distribute internal applications built by employees using vibe coding platforms, with governance controls applied automatically at the point of publication.
The announcement targets a gap the company said has opened as tools such as Claude Code and Lovable put app-building within reach of non-developer staff.
While those platforms offer basic security measures such as single sign-on, Island said two problems persist: there is no centralised place to discover and share the resulting apps, and organisations lack the permission models, device posture checks, data protection, auditing and threat detection that enterprise software requires.
Island Enterprise Vibe Publishing addresses both by routing apps through a centralised library. When an administrator approves and publishes an app, enterprise controls - including secure access, identity verification, device posture and data loss prevention - attach automatically, without additional configuration or integration work, the company said.
The product also includes Island Private Access, which gives a published app a governed route to a single internal resource without broad network exposure, and feeds into Island's Digital Employee Experience monitoring so administrators can track usage, performance and whether a one-off tool has become critical infrastructure.
"Building software has never been faster, and every employee is a potential builder. But sharing their innovations safely hasn't caught up," said Mike Fey, chief executive and co-founder of Island.
"Island Enterprise Vibe Publishing closes that gap, keeping the speed and simplicity of vibe coding intact, while surrounding it with the controls enterprises already trust."
Island said it uses the product internally to publish its own AI Usage Dashboard, a live tool that helps employees track AI usage and cost across platforms including Claude and Cursor.
