Internode on the hunt for SME resellers
ISP Internode is seeking new resellers who have access to Australia’s lucrative SME market.

Last month Internode launched ADSL broadband services that run up to 8 megabits per second for its Home and SOHO customers, with new business broadband plans in the pipeline.

Daryl Knight, national sales manager at Internode, told CRN the firm welcomes calls from potential partners which have existing SME relationships.

“We have got around 200 SME partners at the moment. These range from small computer shops to large integrators. We need new partners who have the technical skills to do the first line of support and we will give them priority access to second level support.”

Knight said Internode’s partners are able to return to their to traditional SME customer base to offer broadband and other value-add services.

Earlier in the month, rival Telstra announced a new range of subscription-based plans offering untimed and unlimited call options for eligible small business customers.

Telstra claimed at the time the new plans will help the majority of Australia's small business sector control costs and also provide the flexibility to customise individual lines depending on their usage levels for local calls, STD calls and mobile calls.

“We come up against Telstra in the SME space, but we have been offering value for money, quality of network and have been innovative in this space. All of which has been attracting SMEs to us,” added Knight.
