UXC subsidiary Integ Communications has acquired Icon Communications, the WA-based communication integration arm of Icon Technology.
Icon Communications is a division of Icon Office Technology and was established in 2000 focused on selling integrated communication products to the SMB market based on the western seaboard.
Ian Poole, CEO at Integ said over the past three years Icon has established a niche in delivering telephony and call centre solutions to medium and large organisations in WA.
"This acquisition will help expand out business further in Western Australia. Integ will now have access to government clients through Icon. We will also have new clients from the growing resources sector of WA,” he said.
Icon’s three staff will come across to Integ, taking the total number of staff to six [in Perth], said Poole.
Poole wouldn’t disclose the financial details about the acquisition, but said the deal would add 10 percent to Integ’s revenues within the next 12-18 months.
