Mark Winter, group sales and marketing director for inTechnology Distribution said adding Ekahau Site Survey to our wireless technology offering is an ideal match for channel partners that are looking at or who are already working in the wireless space.
“The cost effective deployment and the ease of use of Ekahau’s Site Survey technology, over existing enterprise Wi-Fi network survey tools, is really a compelling proposition, and easily beats any competing solutions,” he said.
Winter went on to say that the Australian and New Zealand market has been dominated by AirMagnet in recent years, however with them pulling out their local staff and with the introduction of Ekahau to the inTechnology portfolio the distributor believes it will heavily impact AirMagnet's dominance over the coming 12 months.
Ekahau Site Survey v4.0 incorporates several features for network integrators and IT managers. These include optimisation for light-weight access points such as Cisco LWAP, Aruba Mobile Edge, the Nortel Networks WLAN Portfolio and Siemens HiPath as well as automatic location determination of all nearby access points. ESS 4.0 also addresses the problem of Wi-Fi signal leakage between floors with advanced three-dimensional (3-D) prediction algorithms.
inTechnology will be offering Not For Resale (NFR) licensing for partners and will be holding wireless site survey training to allow partners to start offering site surveys as a service to existing and potential new clients.
