Insight partners with Australian cloud management startup SixPivot

Australian cloud management application developer SixPivot has entered a partnership with leading IT provider Insight Enterprises in a move that will see that application applied across the world.

SixPivot’s Cloud Ctrl is targeted at independent software vendors developing applications for commercial industries. The app allows users to manage cloud resources from multiple providers and organise them on a dashboard interface for ease-of-view.

Insight Enterprises, a Fortune 500 company and provider of cloud, software, security, networking and hardware solutions, employs more than 5700 staff and has a 21-country footprint across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

SixPivot chief executive Faith Rees said the partnership with Insight would boost the reach of the company’s software into meaningful markets.

“We chose Insight as a global solutions partner for Cloud Ctrl given they are a leading provider of intelligent technology solutions, whereby they focus on innovation and business improvement for their customers,” she said.

“Cloud Ctrl enables customers to innovate and transform their business by gaining insights and predictability into their cloud consumption. Insight are well positioned to represent our product as the leading multi-cloud service management platform.”

Australian financial services organisation MyBudget has already has Cloud Ctrl running, which the company’s ICT team leader Mariusz Dworzanski said was helping to manage technology budgets.

“As MyBudget expands into AWS and Azure, Cloud Ctrl has provided us insights into our footprint, ensuring our spend doesn’t increase unexpectedly without any notice,” he said.

“Furthermore, given the nature of our business, Cloud Ctrl has been able to provide us the insights into the locations our services operate within, making sure all our customer data is stored in Australia.”

Pat Murphy, Insight general manager for Asia Pacific services welcomed the partnership with SixPivot.

“We believe that together we can enable our clients to run their business smarter business by having the necessary control and visibility over the performance and costs of running assets in the cloud,” he said.
