Insicon has rebranded to Insicon Cyber, and in the process, transitioned from purely a cyber advisory company to now include cyber security managed services.

The company's offerings now include managed IT services (MSP), managed compliance services, managed detection and response (MDR), managed security information and event management (SIEM), managed security services (MSSP), security operations centre (SOC), incident response (IR) and managed compliance for cyber risk.

The company continues to specialise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) advisory, alongside best practice frameworks like ISO 27001, Essential 8, NIST and more.

Insicon Cyber CEO and co-founder Matt Miller told techpartner.news that while the company's practice has always focused on helping organisations implement and align to frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential 8, SOC2, and NIST, achieving compliance with these frameworks isn’t a one-off exercise and requires ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

"Our customers value these frameworks but don’t want the burden of becoming Cyber GRC experts themselves," he said.

"That’s why we expanded into managed services, to provide ongoing support that keeps our customers compliant, resilient, and free to focus on running their business. In short, we took our advisory expertise and extended it into a practical, ongoing service that ensures compliance is sustained."

Miller said that the cyber industry is maturing, and with that maturity comes a shift in what organisations expect from their security partners.

"We recognise that traditional MDR and IR services are no longer enough on their own," he explained.

"Our adaptive security operations centre (aSOC) has been designed to go beyond traditional models. It’s adaptive, intelligence-driven, and built to address both the offensive and defensive aspects of cybersecurity.

"What truly sets us apart is our focus on security compliance as part of managed services. With AI accelerating the pace of threats and regulatory change, Australian organisations need assurance that their operations remain aligned with compliance frameworks while staying protected."

Looking ahead, Miller said that the compliance landscape is evolving rapidly, particularly with the adoption of AI applications and models.

"While AI brings its benefits, it also introduces new and unfamiliar security vulnerabilities," he told techpartner.news.

"Governance will be critical in this space, which is why we’ve adopted ISO 42001:2023 as the foundation to guide our customers on their AI governance journey.

"As these challenges grow, Insicon Cyber will continue to expand its services and solutions to ensure our customers are prepared for the risks of tomorrow."
