Ingram signs another AV vendor

Ingram Micro Australia has signed a distribution agreement with US-headquartered AV vendor Christie.

Christie has been in the market for over 85 years and is a global visual, audio and collaboration solutions company.

According to Andrew Upshon, general manager for professional AV at Ingram Micro, the company has a growing and dedicated specialist team that provides a wide variety of solutions to the professional AV market.

"Christie products suit the corporate, enterprise, education, media, and government sectors that Ingram Micro is involved in, especially in the pro AV segment, where we can provide complete solutions," said Upshon.

The vendor offers mid to high-end projectors, video walls, audio and presentation solutions, micro-tiles, flat panel displays, and medical imaging solutions. According to Ingram, Christie's digital cinema technology is the most used in cinemas worldwide.

Christie Australia general manager Michael Bosworth said: "Ingram Micro is well known for successfully customising and providing highly-targeted applications for industry verticals and businesses. With its robust networks and strong track record, it has the experience and capabilities to deliver our professional display products to a wider audience in both Australia and New Zealand."

This is another move by Ingram to strengthen its investment in its Professional AV division. In July, Ingram announced it would start the distribution of Kramer Electronics Australia's audio and video products.
