Ingram Micro will distribute Kramer Electronics Australia's audio and video products in Australia, the distributor has announced.
The partnership with Kramer will strengthen the Ingram Micro Australia's AV portfolio and broaden the vendor's presence with Ingram's channel partners, stated the distributor. With Kramer's portfolio, resellers will be able to deliver integrated AV-IT converged solutions.
Ingram in the last two years has heavily invested to diversify with new vendor signings in its Professional AV division.
In October 2014, the distribution giant signed with LG to distribute the vendor's ultra-HD resolution screens, video walls, outdoor, interactive, and digital signage monitors. Most recently, in July 2015, Ingram also signed with Hikvision a Chinese-headquartered surveillance camera vendor.
"We are very excited with our new partnership with Kramer in the ANZ region. Over the last few years, Ingram Micro has developed a fast growing AV business and Kramer’s high quality products perfectly complement our existing AV portfolio of more than 25 brands," said Andrew Upshon, Ingram Micro general manager for professional AV ANZ.
"The timing is excellent with Kramer’s new strategic shift towards AV/IP convergence and we are looking forward to a strong partnership in this fast changing market."
The Queensland-based vendor Kramer Electronics designs and manufactures distribution amplifiers, switchers, digital scaler/switchers, format convertors, media/control room products, bulk cable, speakers, audio visual cables and the recently launched Kramer Network.
"Signing up Ingram Micro as a distribution partner has been a milestone for Kramer and an important step to grow our business and reach into markets that we have not been able to address before," Kramer Electronics managing director for Australia and New Zealand John Ungerer said.
"In addition to growing demand for our professional hardware, we expect the recently released Kramer Network to be huge hit with resellers. Kramer Network is an enterprise software platform that lets IT or AV managers configure, route and control any IP or legacy AV device, room environments, and IP streams across any size AV network from anywhere in the world."
Kramer was established in 1981 by Joseph Kramer. Just one year later, the Queensland-based audio and video vendor opened a European distribution facility. Today, Kramer is present in six continents through its distributors and partners.
