Ingram Micro Australia has expanded its IoT mobility portfolio by signing up enterprise mobility management (EMM) vendor SOTI.
SOTI's flagship product MobiControl manages enterprise devices and corporate data remotely, securely and across any operating system.
The EMM technology allows customers to remotely control and monitor applications, content, location services, file and data transfer, task management, system status, battery status and soft and hard device resets in real-time. The technology also eliminates the need for devices to be returned to a central point for updates and maintenance.
Ingram general manager of the Plus Division for Australia Andrew Upshon said: "We are excited to be working with SOTI as it will enable Ingram to provide enterprise grade device management solutions to our partners.
Upshon said that SOTI MobiControl complements Ingram's portfolio of Windows, Android and iOS devices, and will make it easier for partners to grow their business and increase profitability with a "complete solution from the one distribution partner".
Adele Beachley, SOTI's Asia-Pacific managing director, said: "We believe Ingram’s presence and continued investment in the next generation of IoT mobility will empower organisations to implement strategic mobility programs touching everything from business critical operations through to day-to-day business workflows as well as securing critical mobile assets."
SOTI was established in 1995 and is headquartered in Canada. The company has more than 17,000 customers across 170 countries.
