Ingram Micro signs up unified comms vendor Fonality

Ingram Micro has partnered with US-headquarted Fonality to provide cloud data business phone systems and unified communications-as-a-service.

The services will be available through Ingram's reseller network in Asia, Europe and North America via the company's cloud marketplace.

Ingram Micro Cloud executive vice president, global cloud computing Nimesh Dave said: "Ingram's cloud portfolio and Fonality's expertise gives our channel partners a solution to quickly sell and deploy modern phone systems that meet their customers' needs."

Businesses can subscribe to Fonality's services using either the telecommunications provider's cloud or a hybrid-hosted model.

Fonality chief marketing officer Jeff Valentine said: "We're excited to bring cloud-based business phone systems to every Ingram Micro reseller around the globe. This relationship significantly extends our reach and allows us to grow rapidly with their resellers."

Fonality's Heads Up Display applications enable users to see which employees are available and then connect easily across locations via telephone, instant messaging, and file sharing.

Fonality offers direct inward dial and toll-free telephone numbers in Australia and the United States, connecting 97 other countries and territories using its hybrid-hosted model and the customer's local telephone network.

Ingram Micro has recently become the first Australian distributor for Dropbox for Business.
