Ingram Micro launches virtual trade show

Ingram Micro has announced the launch of Virtual Expotech, a virtual trade show for resellers and vendors replacing 13 years of  physical trade shows.

Touted as the channel's "first fully interactive 3D online trade show", Ingram's Virtual Expotech will allow resellers to visit vendor stands 24/7.

Resellers can view products, access catalogues and information, chat directly through Live Chat to a vendor and keep updated on latest special promotions.

At regular intervals, Live Meetings will feature varying vendors presenting topical discussions.

So far, Ingram has enlisted 30 vendors and has confirmed with CRN that there are more to come.

Virtual Expotech will run continuously throughout 2010 along with various networking events throughout the year "to still meet our customers face to face".
