The local arm of Ingram Micro has announced a partnership with United Electrical, based around a range of extended warranty services that help resellers to add value to their product sales.
Through the United Electrical partnership Ingram Micro’s resellers can now offer their customers a range of warranty services which act as an extension to the manufacturer’s warranty. These warranty services perform across all brands for a broad range of products including notebooks, desktop PCs, PDAs, mobile phones, iPods, GPS devices, portable DVD players, and gaming devices.
United Electrical products can be used for all brands of electrical devices with no responsibility to the reseller. The reseller simply sells the warranty with the device, or at later date and the United Electrical call centre looks after the rest.
Danny Kwoh, business manager at Ingram Micro Ingram said the distributor sees this as a very affordable solution for resellers, with pricing starting from $49.95 RRP for a PDA/Mobile 2 year upgrade warranty, and ranging up to $199 RRP for a 2 year upgrade warranty on a Desktop or Notebook.
“Warranty is available in increments of one and two years, depending on the product to be covered. These solutions reduce time and hassle for the reseller and allow them to focus on sales, without any additional requirement of them,” said Kwoh. “We recognise that warranty is an important aspect of any IT sale and United Electrical warranty solutions offer a practical and seamless method to access extended warranty for a range of products.”
The United Electrical extended warranty solutions are available to Ingram Micro Resellers from 1 June, said Kwoh.
