Ingram Micro Australia will distribute Acronis cloud backup and disaster recovery via its cloud marketplace.
Lee Welch, Ingram Micro Australia's general manager for cloud and software services, said: “Considering that backup and disaster recovery is a core need for many companies in the evolving data protection landscape, the addition of Acronis data protection products in our cloud portfolio offers greater revenue opportunities for our channel partners.
“The combination of the cloud marketplace with Acronis’ trusted data protection solutions enables channel partners to quickly deploy affordable, user-friendly products that deliver profitable value to their cloud business.”
Acronis chief marketing officer John Zanni said: “Through this strengthened channel alliance, our partners in the Asia Pacific region are now better equipped to exploit the huge market opportunity for cloud data protection.”
Ingram Micro's cloud marketplace went live in Australia in June 2015, allowing resellers to directly purchase, provision, price and invoice Office 365 bundles and other applications from a single dashboard.
In December, Ingram revealed that more than 1,000 resellers had signed up to use the marketplace, which has also expanded to include vendors IBM SoftLayer, SaaS file sharing brand Nomadesk and security provider Cirius.
