Ingram Micro has appointed Hanspeter Eiselt to the role of executive director and general manager of its Volume Business Unit in Australia.
In his role Hanspeter will report directly to managing director Jay Miley and is responsible for product management and sales priorities for Ingram's volume business.
The appointment comes three months after Ingram Micro's sales restructure which split the distie's volume business from its enterprise business.
At the time Miley told told CRN that "the volume business is the biggest piece of our business and the enterprise technology business is a big piece of our business [too]. It's bigger than any of our competitors that you would think of."
Hanspeter has over 20 years industry experience in Australia and overseas. His most recent role was in Australia running his own private consultancy business assisting emerging businesses with their international expansion.
Prior to that, Hanspeter was the managing director for Autodesk, Australia and New Zealand, a role he held for two years.
Hanspeter held several key leadership roles for Tech Data Corp, a Fortune 500 listed company with annual revenues of over US$24 billion, from 2004 to 2007.
Prior to Tech Data, Hanspeter spent time with both Compaq Computers in the US and Germany from 1991 to 1997, and Dell Computer in the US from 1997 to 2000, in a variety of sales and marketing roles.
Hanspeter holds a BA in European Business Administration from Middlesex University (UK) and a Diploma-Betriebswirt from Reutlingen University (Germany).
Hanspeter will join Ingram Micro on Monday 12 April.
