Ingram Micro and Synnex have picked up distribution rights to a new range of pocket-sized digital TVs from the Sydney-based Laser Corporation.
Electrical retail chain The Good Guys was also confirmed to carry the products, which were expected to be on shelves next month in time for Christmas.
"We are confident that retail and channel [reseller numbers] will expand," a spokesperson told CRN.
The TVs were said to be the first of their kind to hit Australian stores "allowing users to watch digital TV anywhere, anytime".
The entry-level DVBT-C30 Classic C30 boasted a 3.5" screen with remote control, digital FM radio and electronic program guide.
It could also double as a digital set top box in the home and had a recommended retail price of $149.95 including GST.
The next model up, the DVBT-MP32 Multimedia Plus, doubled as a media player or a "diminutive digital video recorder". It came in at $199.95 RRP.
Another model, the DVBT-ST35 Slim Touch, boasted a touch screen interface and a GST-inclusive RRP of $229.95.
Laser Corporation described itself as a "challenger brand" for IT and consumer electronics accessories.
