IFS, a provider of industrial AI software, has appointed Paul Butterworth as MD for Australia and New Zealand.

He joins IFS from Lighthouse Industries, an Australian energy infrastructure services platforms, where he served as CRO and delivered sustained double-digit year-on-year growth.

In his new role, Butterworth will lead IFS’s continued expansion across Australia and New Zealand, aiming to strengthen customer and partner relationships and accelerating growth as demand increases for Industrial AI and cloud-based enterprise solutions across asset-intensive industries, according to IFS.

“I’m genuinely excited to be joining IFS at a time when organizations across our region are accelerating their adoption of AI and cloud-based enterprise solutions," said Butterworth.

"IFS Core and AI platform offers an Asset Lifecycle Management capability that I have not seen matched in our asset and services based industries, and I’m looking forward to working with our talented teams and partners to deliver this value to customers."

The appointment follows a series of strategic growth initiatives from IFS, including acquisitions of Copperleaf (Asset Investment Planning), TheLoops (Autonomous AI Agents), 7Bridges (AI powered supply chain management), and Softeon (Warehouse Management).

IFS also announced new partnerships with Anthropic on frontier AI for frontline workers and a joint effort with Siemens Grid Software to accelerate the shift to more autonomous, data-driven power grids.
