SailPoint has hired Craig McGregor out of IBM to lead its Asia-Pacific channel.
He joins the identity governance software vendor as its first channel sales director for the region, bringing more than 20 years of IT industry experience to the role.
SailPoint provides enterprise identity governance solutions with on-premises and cloud-based identity management software, with customers including major banks, healthcare, insurance and managed care providers and US federal agencies.
Local customers include Vanguard, Catholic Education Western Australia and Medibank.
McGregor joined IBM as channel sales manager in June after three years as channel chief of security vendor Check Point Software.
His exit follows another key departure within IBM's channel team, with channel chief Nigel Peach stepped down from his role in February after six months in the role. Peach has since joined management consultant Digital Lifecycle Group.
McGregor also worked in various technical and sales roles with Symantec, Adobe Systems, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems and Oracle.
