HTC’s mid-range Desire X smartphone has arrived down under, one month after it was launched globally.
The smartphone was first unveiled at the IFA conference in Germany.
It will be available in Australia exclusively through Optus for $299 prepaid, or on a $35 p/m plan.
The handset mirrors the design of HTC’s flagship One X, but opts for a metal unibody design over the One X’s polycarbonate design.
The Desire X runs on a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip and the latest version of the Android mobile operating system, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Along with a 4in super LCD display, the smartphone boasts 5MP back and 1.3MP front cameras, with 4GB storage and 768MB RAM.
