HP restructures printing and imaging division

HP has split up its LaserJet Enterprise Services, Inkjet Web Solutions and Sales Operations business lines - which previously sat under the After Market Sales umbrella - into stand alone divisions.

As part of the restructure, HP has expanded the Sales Operations division to now include distribution for tier one partners and has renamed it to Sales Operations and Distribution (SOD).

Richard Bailey, vice president of the Imaging Printing Group (IPG) at HP South Pacific, said LaserJet Enterprise Services and the Inkjet Web Solution categories "will have full responsibility for both supplies and hardware".

The vendor has also appointed each division head and will reposition the After Market sales employees to LaserJet services and Sales Operations and Distribution teams.

The role of Sales Operations and Distribution business manager, held by Mal Wun, will be expanded to include distribution responsibilities.

HP has appointed Rob McCance to business manager for LaserJet Enterprise Services and Hamish Alexander to country manager for HP IPG in New Zealand.

In the last five years, Alexander has worked in a number of roles within HP including Supplies Sales and Marketing Manager in New Zealand, IPG Business Development Manager and Business Manager Retail Photo for both HP South Pacific and HP Asia Pacific.
