Workplace technology provider InSight Systems has been acquired by Japanese audio-visual giant Hibino Corporation in a move to expand the latter's Australian operations.
The deal, finalised on 30 October, sees Hibino Corporation acquire a majority stake in the Australian company.
Co-founders Dan Baldwin and Wayne Schultz will continue as executive directors, maintaining leadership continuity.
"We are committed to maintaining the same high standards of service that our clients rely on", said Schultz, executive director and co-founder.
The acquisition provides InSight Systems access to Hibino's global resources and expertise in audio-visual and IT solutions.
"We are excited to support InSight Systems as they continue to grow and succeed in the Australian market", said Tad Shimojima, deputy general manager of Hibino Corporation.
InSight Systems has operated for over two decades, providing audio-visual integration and managed services to government, corporate, healthcare, education and sports sectors.
Newport Capital, an Australian mergers and acquistions advisory firm, guided InSight Systems through the transaction.
Hibino Corporation is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and specialises in professional audio-visual solutions, including equipment sales, architectural acoustics design, and large-scale AV services.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
