The move will allow the team in Australia and New Zealand to utilise SAP offerings and expertise from HCL delivery centres in the United States, China and India
It will also facilitate the delivery of enterprise Services Oriented Architecture in A/NZ using SAP NetWeaver.
"By combining HCL’s industry and domain expertise in the SAP product line-up along with ready-to-use tools, accelerators and methodologies, we'll be able to offer SAP customers the services and solutions they need to help capitalise on existing investments," said Brian Pereira, vice president and head, HCL, A/NZ region.
Periera claimed that the channel will benefit from a lower total cost of ownership, a broader mix of skills and a range of tools and methodologies that have played a role in the company’s previous successes.
“One of HCL’s most successful ventures has been our superior Distributed Delivery Model for SAP applications,” said Pereira.
The relationship extends globally and has resulted in various accolades. HCL was recently awarded the SAP Distinguished Partner Award for 2005 and 2006.
“We are experiencing strong growth in demand for SAP’s software and solutions in A/NZ,” said Alan Hyde, chief executive officer and managing director, SAP A/NZ. “Companies are recognising the role SAP can play in helping them realise their potential and they are buying into the technology roadmap, which presents an enormous opportunity in ANZ for a partner like HCL.”
