Harvey Norman IoT partner Quantify Technology expands distribution deal to Australia's east coast

Harvey Norman has expanded its agreement with Perth-based IoT company Quantify Technology to be its exclusive distributor for Australia’s east coast.

The deal expands on a partnership signed with Harvey Norman Commercial Division (HNCD) in 2017 to promote and sell Quantify Technology products in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

HNCD will place an initial $500,000 stocking order in the deal’s first six months, increasing Quantify’s outstanding purchase orders to a total of $1.2 million.

“We are very pleased to appoint Harvey Norman Commercial Division as our exclusive stockist for the eastern Australian states,” Quantify chief executive Brett Savill said.

“With an extensive network of large-scale customers including developers, builders and architects, the HNCD team are ideally placed to deliver significant B2B sales.”

Savill added the growing demand for Quantify’s intelligent building automation products led to this new deal with Harvey Norman.

Quantify’s flagship product is its Truly Intelligent Building solution, which allows for real-time evaluation of environmental and risk factors. Its managed service can be used to measure efficiency of resources like energy.

“Harvey Norman enjoys a strong market share and a strong customer base and there is increasing demand from customers for home automation,” HNCD proprietor Alan Stephenson said.

“This is an important agreement and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Quantify.”
