Hackers deface UN websites
Details are emerging of a hack attack on the United Nations website over the weekend.

The personal page of UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon was defaced on Sunday morning.

The UN Department of Public Information, the UN Cyberschoolbus site for teachers and students, and the UN Economic and Social Council site were also attacked.

"We are very concerned that this has happened," UN spokeswoman Michele Montas told the International Herald Tribune.

"It lasted a few minutes but we managed to get them off. We had to change our archives and rebuild the whole site."

Three hackers, identifying themselves as 'kerem125', 'MOsted', and 'Gsy', posted a message on the sites which read: "That is CyberProtest Hey Ysrail and Usa dont kill children and other people Peace for ever No war."

Montas said that the UN does not believe that the attack was an act of cyber-terrorism. "I think it was seen more as a prank," she said.
