The month of December is missing in the latest version of Google's Jelly Bean operating system.
A bug discovered in the People app in Android 4.2 skips from the month of November to January, affecting users attempting to enter birthday or anniversary information for a contact.
The issue does not affect the calendar application.
The operating system runs on Google's Nexus 7 tablet and Galaxy Nexus smartphone.
Google has acknowledged the issue and said it is working on a fix.
