GlobalConnect Australia has acquired the Converged Solutions Division (SCS) of Sirius Telecommunications for $1.2 million.
The acquisition will see GlobalConnect Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Avaya GlobalConnect, will give the company a national reach, said GlobalConnect boss Pushkar Taneja.
“The acquisition gives us an opportunity to expand outside of our NSW and Victoria customer base. We will get an increase of 50 customers from the acquisition and that will take our client base to 95,” he said.
The Converged Solutions Division sells IP telephony, contact centres, mobility, unified messaging, IVR and call recording products.
Roger Mason, chairman of Sirius Telecommunications said the division required more financial backing to meet the demand for the increasing adoption of technology such as VoIP by Australian businesses.
