Global Victoria seeks applications for US cybersecurity trade program

Trade facilitation agency Global Victoria has invited applications from cybersecury companies in the state to apply for a tailored support program, to unlock opportunities in the United States.

The USA Cybersecurity Trade Program 2025 aims to provide a flexible platform for engagement in the US, to help companies promote themselves, and to generate business and intelligence in the American market.

Global Victoria pointed out that the US consistently ranks as the top export market for Victorian cybersecurity companies.

Furthermore, cybersecurity spending is set to rise in the US, with federal civilian agencies getting a budget bump of 10 per cent for 2025, reaching $12.33 billion.

Companies that are actively expanding in the US market over the next six to 12 months are encouraged to apply, along with those that can travel there, or be represented in-market.

Export capable and ready companies, and those that have customers and partners identified in the US, and which have some market traction should also consider applying.

The trade program offers one pass to a nominated conference or trade event in the US, bought by Global Victoria for the company attending.

There is also access to an external US-based industry consultant to assess company needs and objectives, and to secure a minimum of three high-quality business matching meetings.

Global Victoria will also provide a one-year membership to a relevant industry or geography-based US assocation; it will also offset in full the participation cost of A$2000 for five successful Victorian applicants to Austrade's 2025 RSA Conference Program on April 28.

Applicants are expected to meet the cost of travel incidentals themselves.

The deadline for the USA Cybersecurity Trade Program applications is midnight on February 2.
