NetApp Australia has promoted Glenn McPherson to the role of managing director of Australian & New Zealand as Steve Manley moves up to a regional position.
McPherson joined NetApp in 2012 as the regional director, sales and was responsible for Victoria, New South Wales and service provider districts, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Prior to joining NetApp, McPherson also held roles at HP, Telstra, Genesys and Cisco, where he worked for almost 10 years and was most recently Cisco's regional manager, sales.
His promotion comes as NetApp's country manager, Steve Manley, gets promoted to run the South Pacific region, consisting of Australia, New Zealand and ASEAN.
Manley has held several roles since he joined NetApp in 2008 including account executive, commercial and northern region sales manager for Australia and New Zealand and most recently as managing director.
Manley worked for HMV UK, Trilogy and Avnet, where he was the business development manager for a year and a half before joining NetApp.
The changes follow recent reports of a global restructure in the company, which will see 650 staff lose their jobs. In a statement earlier this month, NetApp said the cuts part of a strategy to focus on growing areas of all-flash arrays, next-generation data centres and hybrid cloud solutions.
