Fortinet has appointed John Milionis as its new channel sales director for Australia.
In his new role, Milionis will focus on "achieving great outcomes for Fortinet channel partners and customers alike while shaping a community that is dedicated to securing its borders against the evolving threat landscape," the company said.
He has more than 20 years' experience in senior channel roles across the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region and more broadly to support Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) operations.
“The changing cybersecurity landscape is exciting and daunting in equal measure as threats continue to evolve at breakneck speed," Milionis said.
"I’m excited to join a company like Fortinet that sits on the forefront of innovation, and to help empower its channel partners to deliver exceptional security outcomes for organisations through our Engage Partner Program."
“I look forward to working closely with partners to create synergies that amplify collective strengths and drive mutual success."
"In particular, I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the team and broader network, aiming to set new benchmarks for success.”
Milionis joins Fortinet from Zscaler, where he was head of channels and alliances for ANZ.
Prior to this, he was the enterprise channel director for ANZ at Forcepoint, and the channel director for APJ at Riverbed Technology.
“John’s extensive channel experience operating across ANZ and APJ roles makes him the ideal candidate," Dale Nachman, country manager for Australia at Fortinet said.
"John’s depth of experience affords him a unique perspective and ability to deepen and strengthen Fortinet’s trusted channel partner relationships while empowering customers to understand and better address their cybersecurity pain points as the landscape rapidly evolves."
“John’s specific blend of skills underpins his ability to deliver value by developing strategic relationships that deliver growth and transformation. The team is excited for John to join Fortinet and looks forward to seeing him thrive alongside its channel community.”
