Australians have infiltrated HP Printing & Personal Systems, with a direct line of Aussie execs right to the top.

PPS executive vice-president Dion Weisler brought an Australian twang to his keynote at the vendor's Global Partner Conference, where he revealed more details of HP's push into 3D printing.

The Monash University graduate has one of the biggest roles in IT, a job that will only get more significant as the division is spun off to form $56 billion HP Inc from 1 November, with Weisler at the helm as chief executive.

Weisler's distinguished tech career has included roles at Acer, Telstra and Lenovo over more than two decades.

Reporting into Weisler is Nick Lazaridis, the Singapore-based senior vice-president who oversees PPS for the entire Asia Pacific & Japan region.

Lazardis graduated from the University of Wollongong, and spent stints at Acer, Dell, Lenovo and AMD before moving to HP in 2012, and being promoted to the top regional role in July 2013.

PPS's Australian boss, Robert Mesaros, is an HP veteran, having worked with the vendor for almost a decade in a range of roles before being appointed PPS vice-president & general manager, South Pacific, in 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the Victoria University of Technology.

Another Aussie stamping his mark on PPS business is a Western Australian – senior vice president Richard Bailey, who heads up worldwide customer support and services.

Now based at HP's head office in Palo Alto, Bailey has been with HP since 2006, including almost six years in senior roles in ANZ, including three and a half years as the boss of the South Pacific region, which includes Australia.
