HTC will be the first smartphone vendor to launch handsets running Microsoft's just-released Windows Phone 8 operating system, according to reports.
Microsoft unveiled the new OS yesterday. It said HTC, Nokia, Samsung and Huawei would all soon launch handsets running the operating system but declined to comment further.
HTC will lead the pack with Zenith, Accord and Rio smartphones, reported The Verge.
The 4.7in Zenith will launch as the flagship model, with a 1280 x 720 Super LCD screen, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and 8MP camera.
The middle-tier 4.3in Accord will carry a 1280 x 720 screen, 8MP camera, 1GB of RAM, a dual-core processor and will be NFC equipped.
The entry-level 4in Rio will round out the range with a 800 x 480 screen, 5MP camera, 512MB of RAM and an 800MHz single-core processor.
All three devices are reported to go on sale this year.
