Evergreen acquires Australia's CT Group

Evergreen has announced its acquisition of Australian IT services provider CT Group, Evergreen's eighth Australia acquisition.

CT Group’s offerings include managed services, consulting, security services, cloud solutions and voice. It has partnerships with legal and accounting software providers, in addition to various IT vendors.

The acquisition will expand Evergreen’s Australian activities into Perth. CT Group lists offices in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide and its website states the company has more than 23 engineers.

The acquisition will be managed by Lyra Technology Group, which is based in Chicago and bills itself as a “family of industry leading technology service businesses”…operated independently by exceptional management teams.”

"CT Group has distinguished itself as an exceptional business with a strong focus on the accounting and law sectors, and a deep alignment with key vendors serving these segments," stated Waruna Kirimetiyawa, Regional CEO of ANZ, Lyra Technology Group

"We are very excited to expand across Australia into the Perth market with our acquisition of CT Group," stated Evergreen vice president Sydney Hockett.

"Anton, Mathew, and James have built a best-in-class business with a remarkable team that is a huge value add to Evergreen ANZ,” referring to CT Group CEO Anton Thysse and directors Mathew Williamson and James Hey.

“Their legal expertise sets the business apart and they will be great partners as we continue to grow in new markets."

Thysse stated that Evergreen “allows us to remain independent but with incredible resources and expertise…”

He added that “Unlike some investors, Evergreen doesn't divest from its portfolio companies but instead, it provides long-term support, enabling us to continue serving our clients for decades to come.”

Evergreen entered the ANZ market in January 2024 with the acquisition of Auckland-headquartered MSP Lancom Technology. Its local acquisitions since then have included Canberra MSP Centrered in March.
