After over two decades, Erica Smith has returned to Ingram Micro in the role of brand and content manager.
She joins after a 10 month stint at Logicalis that began with her being hired as head of marketing before expanding the remit in March to include head of marketing and vendor alliances.
Prior to Logicalis, she served at Blue Connections IT as the chief marketing and alliance officer for close to a decade.
In a post on LinkedIn, Smith said that her IT career started at Ingram Micro back in 2000.
"I left in 2004 and, 22 years and plenty of adventures across the Australian IT channel later, I’ve done a boomerang ... and in another full-circle moment, I get to work again with three of the OG Ingram crew from my first time around: Tim McLoughlan, George Khalil and Caleb Leung," she said.
"You could say we’re getting the brand back together.
"A big part of my new role is exactly that. Taking the strength of the global Ingram Micro brand and bringing it to life locally, with an Australian voice, Australian stories, and a greater focus on the people, partners and customers who make our local channel what it is."
