EPSON appoints Tonnex as a ‘Genuine Gold Seal Supplier’

Epson managing director Bruno Turcato said Tonnex and Epson have been working very closely over the last 12 months in a concerted effort to promote genuine Epson products to the reseller and end-user market.

"The Genuine Gold Seal program is a necessary and valuable way of protecting consumers, resellers and Epson from the very real threat posed by counterfeit products," Turcato said.

Tonnex Director George Solomon said Tonnex is very pleased to be recognised for its efforts by Epson and to become a Genuine Gold Seal Supplier.

"This gives resellers further confidence that they can rely on Tonnex to only ever supply 100 percent Genuine Epson supplies - as we do with all of our products," Mr Solomon said.

Epson's director of marketing communications, Mike Pleasants, said Genuine Gold Seal partners are demonstrating their three-fold commitment to their resellers, to Epson Australia, and to users of Epson products.

Epson's Genuine Gold Seal Program is designed to protect consumers, distributors, suppliers and resellers from the threat and problems caused by counterfeit consumables, which have in the past entered Australia under the guise of grey imports and at first examination are often difficult to distinguish from genuine Epson products. Detection of counterfeit imports has lead to Epson successfully prosecuting importers and resellers of the counterfeit products.

Partners in the Genuine Gold Seal program agree to purchase Epson consumables directly and solely from Epson Australia or an authorised Genuine Gold Seal distributor and agree to undergo periodic Epson audits of stock holdings, thereby becoming eligible to use the Epson Genuine Gold Seal.
