Cloud marketplace Pax8 will give up its executive cybersecurity coach Elliot Seeto to security vendor Check Point Software's Perimeter 81 next week.

In his new role, Seeto will focus on secure access service edge (SASE), which combines software defined wide area networking and Zero Trust in the cloud, connecting users, devices, systems and networks to apps and resources.

Seeto told Techpartner.news that he will be under Check Point and Perimeter 81 as the Harmony SASE channel manager for the Asia Pacific.

He will start on the 28th of April and be based out of Sydney.

"SASE ... is becoming a technology that is changing the way businesses address network security that goes beyond the firewall and I can't wait to get started," Seeto said on LinkedIn.

Seeto said he spent nearly three years at Pax8 APAC as one of the company's early employees in the region, working with MSP partners.

He worked with Pax8 APAC chief executive Chris Sharp and the company's then vice president of sales, communities and ecosystem, James Bergl.

Seeto thanked his Pax8 colleagues, MSP and technology solutions partners.

"I will always be one of your biggest advocates and truly believe MSPs can be the answer to solving the SMB cybersecurity crisis," Seeto said on LinkedIn.
