DXC Technology snaps up Australian Oracle partner M-Power Solutions

DXC Technology has announced plans to acquired Australian Oracle cloud partner M-Power Solutions for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 2003, M-Power focuses on enterprise performance management (EPM) and BI with over 60 clients in Australia and New Zealand.

DXC said that M-Power will be integrated into its own Oracle business, DXC Red Rock, to strengthen its own EPM and BI practice with Oracle cloud analytics offerings.

“DXC Red Rock is today the largest independent provider of Oracle cloud licensing, consulting and managed services solutions in ANZ," DXC Australia managing director Seelan Nayagam said.

"The combination of M-Power with DXC’s Red Rock practice solidifies DXC’s position as the undisputed leader in Oracle Cloud Solutions in Australia & New Zealand.”

DXC said that M-Power will also benefit from an increased presence on the Australian east coast. The company has 50 staff in Australia and offices in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.

“Our business was growing rapidly and we were at a tipping point," M-Power chief executive Mark Simpson said. "We needed to either invest more ourselves or get leverage. DXC offered us a platform for our growth in ANZ, around the world and into larger tier 1 customers; and we want to be a part of that success.”

Commenting on the acquisition, DXC Red Rock practice director Philip Milne added: “M-Power has a strong cultural alignment to Red Rock. Both organisations pride ourselves on our speed, agility and customer focus and believe that our combined capability will offer significant benefits to all of our customers. We will leverage our strong Eastern Australia and New Zealand presence to provide customers in those regions greater access to M-Power’s capability.”

DXC Technology launched in Australia in April last year after CSC and HPE merged into the new company.
