Dropbox's first-ever Australian channel chief Greg Kieser has left the file storage vendor after close to two years as part of an internal restructure.
Kieser joined Dropbox in March last year as head of partner sales, having previously managed its Australian channel out of San Francisco.
Prior to joining Dropbox, Kieser was channel and alliances manager at Infor. Before that, he was head of ANZ partners and alliances for Amazon Web Services from 2012 to 2015.
Kieser said he was unable to comment on his departure. He has since updated his LinkedIn profile noting he has taken a sabbatical.
A month after Kieser joined Dropbox, the vendor signed Ingram Micro as its first Australian distributor for Dropbox for Business, with Kieser saying the ultimate goal was to set up both direct and channel sales teams in Australia.
Kieser marks the second major departure from Dropbox Australia this year. In May, managing director Charlie Wood left after nearly three years in the role, and was replaced by former SurveyMonkey managing director and Microsoft executive Tony Ward.
Dropbox is yet to announce any other departures as part of its internal restructure. The company has been contacted for comment.
