DNA Connect has signed a deal to distribute the complete array of video surveillance solutions from Canadian vendor Avigilon.
Avigilon provides video analytics technology that can automatically analyse video data from multiple sources
DNA Connect said it will leverage its existing channel to promote new internet of things and big data solutions. The distributor has already begun integrating Avigilon's video analytics solutions into its own IoT and big data platforms.
"Avigilon is the perfect partner for us to work with to accelerate our goal of helping our channel partners bring the physical and digital worlds together," DNA Connect director Munsoor Khan said.
"There is a growing need to integrate video data with IT data to build intelligent analytics systems that make smarter decisions. This is going to be especially important as technology continues to enhance urban environments.”
DNA Connect said it will proactively service Avigilon's existing customers in Australia and has invested in training its staff to focus on supporting Avigilon as its only video surveillance vendor.
Avigilon VP sales for APAC Graham Wheeler said the partnership with DNA Connect built on the vendor's strategy to expand its partner channel in the region.
“DNA’s specialisations in IT and analytics will support the development of smarter solutions and will further help us expand into both industrial and IT verticals,” he said.
This marks the latest physical security vendor to partner up with a tradition Australian IT distributor. Earlier this month, Alloys partnered with IP surveillance software vendor Digifort to supply its video management solutions.
This year, DNA Connect also partnered with optical networking vendor PacketLight Networks and cyber security vendor Radware.
