Distributor MMT brings hygienic keyboards to Australian channel

Melbourne-based distributor Multimedia Technology will introduce cleanable mice and keyboards for hygiene-sensitive markets from German vendor GETT into the Australian channel.

The devices are targeted at industries with strict hygiene policies, such as healthcare or science, to protect against infection or contamination. This includes washable and antimicrobial keyboards and peripherals, which are sold under the Cleankeys and Indukey brands.

Cleankeys devices are enclosed in a silicone frame, making them impervious to dust and water. This allows users to clean and disinfect keyboards.

GETT has also developed hygiene monitoring software CleanSweep that prompts users when their keyboard needs to be cleaned.

Multimedia Technology celebrated its 26th year in business in 2016. It also boasts branches in Sydney and Melbourne. The IT solutions and AV distributor recently launched a new 3D printer from XYZprinting into the Australian channel.
