DigiCo Infrastructure REIT (DigiCo) has announced that its SYD1 data centre has been formally certified by the Department of Home Affairs as a 'Certified Strategic' hosting provider of data centre services.
'Certified Strategic' status is the highest level of assurance under the Australian Government Hosting Certification Framework (HCF).
SYD1 comprises two large scale adjoining data centre sites in Sydney, representing the only large-scale data centre campus in the Sydney CBD and one of the largest data centre campuses in Australia.
"This significant milestone underscores DigiCo's commitment to national digital sovereignty and reinforces DigiCo’s role and the SYD1 site as a cornerstone of Australia's critical digital infrastructure," the company said in a statement released to the ASX.
Further details will be provided at DigiCo’s annual results briefing scheduled for 18 August 2025.
Among its other data centres in region are four in Brisbane, two in Adelaide and one in Townsville.
