DiData's "other" buy: DDLS acquires training provider

Dimension Data's training arm has acquired the assets of a failed ITIL training and consulting provider.

Dimension Data Learning Solutions announced that it has purchased "ITIL courseware and other intellectual property" from ProActive Services, a company that went into voluntary liquidation on 6 May.

"ProActive had operated in Australia for 25 years," said the statement. "DDLS will incorporate the courseware, simulations, assessment tools, consulting IP and other materials acquired from ProActive into its offerings over the coming months."

DDLS CEO Mal Shaw said: "In ITIL we are seeing increased demand which we believe reflects our clients' move to cloud computing... This acquisition expands the ITIL training services that we offer."

"DDLS strives to deliver high-quality training to our corporate and government clients and this shows in our high pass rates for student certification," said Shaw.

Last week DDLS was announced as a finalist in the "learning partner of the year" category in Microsoft's partner awards. In May, CRN reported that the training provider was rated by Aon Hewitt as one of the best employers to work for in ANZ.
