Mimecast has recognised its top performing Australian and New Zealand channel partners at its third annual Partner Awards ceremony in Sydney last night.
Dimension Data took home what Mimecast said was the most closely contested award, the Elite and Premier Partner of the Year award, for the second year in a row. Data#3 meanwhile beat two other finalists for the Certified Partner of the Year award.
Melbourne-based service provider Trident Computer Services won the Rising Star Award for its strong year-on-year growth, while Brennan IT scored the Customer Excellence Award. Datacom meanwhile was recognised for its number of customer acquisitions, landing the Legendary Partner of the Year award.
Mimecast also handed out individual awards, with Adam Barker from Adelaide-based SecureWare winning Technical Champion of the Year, and Brennan IT’s Sonia Vadera taking home Champion of the Year. Partners voted on the recipient of Mimecast Partner Advocate of the Year, which was awarded to Business Development Manager Hayden Fenn.
“I’m delighted to have the early opportunity to recognise and thank the winners and finalists for helping us grow our businesses together,” Mimecast ANZ channel director Craig McGregor said.
"We’re in a customer-driven industry and our partners have demonstrated great outcomes in the past year. I’m really looking forward to supporting their businesses in the year ahead.”
McGregor added the winners were picked based on “a variety of criteria” including strategic alignment, delivering great customer outcomes, financial performance and growth.
In the announcement, Dimension Data Australia GM for Software Services Caroline Sweeney commented, “We’ve been working with Mimecast for more than seven years. We love their superior solutions and the value they provide our clients. Mimecast have a very similar culture to us and it’s a winning culture. That’s why we’re so successful together. We’re looking forward to working with the new channel team.”
