Dicker Data has won the rights to distribute Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Aruba, data centre networking and Nimble Storage portfolios in New Zealand.
It's the distributor's first access to the HPE portfolio across the ditch, said company founder David Dicker.
“We’ve been their leading distributor in Australia for many years and we’ve already transplanted the systems, processes and knowledge powering our Australian success into our New Zealand operation.
“This expertise coupled with our extensive midmarket and enterprise partner base underpins a strong foundation for success," Dicker said.
The deal does not include the server and storage range within HPE’s data centre and hybrid cloud group. CRN has reached out to HPE for clarity on what products are included in the agreement.
ASX-listed Dicker Data expanded to New Zealand in 2014 through its $65.5 million acquisition of Express Data.
The HPE deal comes after one of Dicker's major vendors in New Zealand, Cisco, consolidated its distribution with Westcon-Comstor, removing Dicker and Ingram Micro from its roster.
Dicker said in August it would be "aggressively looking to fill the revenue void" to cope with the loss of the networking vendor.
