Dicker Data likely to list in August

Dicker Data is in the process of creating a prospectus to be issued to potential shareholders as it moves forward with plans to list on the Australian Stock Exchange.

In March, CRN reported that Dicker Data was preparing to float the company to "improve the strengths of the operation".

At the time Dicker Data said it would be finalised by July 1, but director David Dicker has told CRN that the timeframe is more likely to be around August or September.

"The accountants, lawyers and everyone related to it are all working away," he said.

For the compliance listing, Dicker Data requires 500 shareholders investing $2000 each.

In March, Dicker told CRN that the distributor will raise the necessary funds from Dicker's dealer base (customers).

Today, Dicker said, "We will have no problem raising the 500 holders. We will have both employees and dealers amongst the 500 initial shareholders.

"There seems to be a great deal of interest in it."
